Jeremy Birt
Jeremy Birt is the Lead Pastor, Lead Elder, and Church planter of Wellspring Church. As Lead Elder, his primary area of oversight is on discipleship and community. He grew up in Shoreline, WA and at the age of 19, God called him to be a pastor. He has spent 15 years now studying God’s word academically and invested in ministry. In 2011, he married his wife, Monique. They now have three wonderful children; ages 8, 6, and 1 1/2. Jeremy spent 5 years studying in Portland at Western Seminary and deeply invested in the community there. He received a Master’s in Bible and Theology degree and served at Grace Community Church in Gresham, OR as the Middle School Pastor. In 2019, Jeremy heard the call of God to move back to Shoreline and do ministry in his hometown. It became evident that God wanted Jeremy to plant a church and Wellspring Church had its first official service in February of 2020.
Tyler Carlson
Tyler is an Elder at Wellspring and oversees the prayer life of the church. He consistently prays for all the members of Wellspring each week and closes out each service helping us commune with God as a church. He has been a volunteer leader in ministry for his entire adult life and has served in Youth, Children’s, and Worship ministry. For most of that time, he worked alongside Jeremy and Aaron and has always been the consummate servant. You can expect to find him setting up, doing worship, tearing down, and anything else that might need to be done each week. His consistency, faithfulness, and commitment are an example of Christlikeness to Wellspring Church.
Aaron Anderson
Aaron is an Elder at Wellspring and he oversees the worship dimension of the church. He leads us in worship songs each Sunday, but his heart for worship extends far beyond music. He is always thinking of ways to incorporate worship in everything Wellspring does from our Elder meetings to our community time. He has been leading worship in church for over 20 years and loves discipling musicians to find a passion for leading in the church. Aaron is a constant example of gentleness, peace, and humility that is always looking to point towards God and away from himself.
Jerald Birt
Jerry is an Elder at Wellspring and his focus is on hospitality. He has almost 50 years of inviting countless people into his home and works hard to make sure the same welcome awaits anyone who comes to Wellspring Church. Jerry loves being an Elder because he gets to do the things he loves most in life; praying for people, reading God’s word and inviting people into his home. Due to his wife Janis’ and his generosity, Wellspring Church met in their home for the first two years it existed. Jerry’s tireless service, generosity, and ability to make people feel like they belong have been the invaluable backbone of Wellspring Church.
